Program Details

Sea Turtles, Dolphins & Whales

Description

On this marine biology excursion enjoy the Osa Peninsula on the Southern Pacific of Costa Rica! Surrounded by beaches, mangroves and estuaries this area creates unique habitats for both permanent and migratory species. Students will join the out-in-water studies of sea turtles, dolphins, and whales, collecting data and helping with rehabilitation and rescue. As the mangroves play an essential role in the coastal ecosystem, students will also participate in the Mangrove Reforestation Project to improve water quality and a healthy habitat. Enjoy zip lining, white water rafting, or sea kayaking to wrap up your program!
